RECRUITMENT PROCESS
There are three main components of the process to become a sister:
Info Night (where you get to know our sisters and our vibe in a casual setting. This is not mandatory),
RUSH Night (where you get to know about our organization and potentially get an invite by the end of the night to take the next step to join our sisterhood)
Pledging (A purely educational, three-week period of time where you learn all about our history, our sisters, and what it means to be a sister of Delta Sigma Delta)
Read more about each of these events below and if you have any questions, comments, or corncerns please reach out! ♡
INFO NIGHT
Fall 2022 TBD
Our first social event that is part of our official recruitment process. Info Night is casual and you get to know our sisters while we do some fun activity like our Paint Night pictured to the left. Other info nights have included activities such as Henna tattoo's & crafts, hot cocoa bar & mug decorating, and cookie decorating! We also hold other social events throughout the beginning of each semester which includes things such as manhunt and game night. Once it gets closer to the fall semester, our events can be found here on our website and on our Instagram!
RUSH NIGHT
Fall 2022 TBD
Rush Night is a great time to see if you could picture yourself as a member of our group. This is when you get to know more in-depth about our organization: our values, morals, philanthropic goals, and what Delta means to us! This is the most important night when it comes to our recruitment process as we give out "Bids" later that night.
Bids are formal invitations to participate in our pledging program and possibly become a part of our sisterhood. If you find that you cannot attend our Rush Night for any particular reason, please reach out to us and we will arrange something for you!
PLEDGING
Fall 2022 TBD
Pledging is an invite-only, educational period of three weeks as set out by Husson University guidelines which does not intervene with your classes, sports, or previous commitments you may have. It is the beginning of a lifelong affiliation and commitment to our sisterhood. Delta Sigma Delta is strictly anti-hazing, and we follow Husson University's no hazing policy.
The purposes of pledging are:
To assist and develop members to be exceptional, well-rounded women
To develop members intellectually, spiritually, and socially/morally
To familiarize new members with our sorority - both the organization and the sisters
To demonstrate friendship and provide a conduit to build strong, lasting relationships
To prepare new members to uphold the standards and ideals of our sorority, and strive to continually improve it
